At the core of CAM’s mission is educational and outreach programming that supports and informs the teaching activities of schools and universities, while also connecting families and communities.

Educational Resources

Educational Programming

CAM’s educational programming brings together artists, teachers, students, and life long learners into engaging collaborations that focus on using contemporary art and design as a lens for exploring the world around us.

Design CAMp (high school students)

Since its inception more than 20 years ago, Design Camp has exposed more than 1,000 high school students to the exciting world of design. Design Camp informs students about college study in design and raises awareness of the impact of art and design through a series of weeklong summer programs.

Design CAMp (middle school students)

In 2008, CAM and the College of Design are partnering with Marbles Kids Museum to offer a summer design camp for middle school students.

Moore Square Museums Magnet Middle School Partnership

Over the past five years CAM has developed a unique program for Moore Square Museums Magnet Middle School that has become a model project for CAM’s future education activities while also serving as a model for museum/school collaborations at the school.
